Adults are person or animal who has reached full growth.The biological meaning of the term is animals that have reached sexual maturity, which makes it capable of reproduction. In the realm of human beings, adults refer to social and legal concepts. As opposed to "minor" as well as "non-adult" legally-aged adult is a person who is a majority. They are regarded as responsible, independent and capable. They may also be regarded as a "major". The age when a child turns an adult legally is 18; however, the definition of legal maturity can be different depending upon the nation or legal system, as well as their psychological state.

At the point that a person reaches physical and intellectual maturity, it is referred to as adulthood. Adulthood is commonly thought of as beginning at age 20 or 21 years. Middle age starts at about 40 years old and then it is followed by an older age of around 60. In the early years of adulthood, our body has reached the fullest physical maturation. But, the body's size and weight could increase. As we enter our early adulthood our physical capabilities are at their peak which includes muscle strength, reaction time, sensory abilities, and cardiac functioning.
